Beira, Mozambique, Africa

Ahoy! I'm getting ready to board my freighter and head for Australia. I'll be a stowaway, therefore I'll not have a chance to post on the trip. It's a fourteen day voyage so I'll post as soon as I hit shore in Melbourne.
A belated Happy St. Patricks day to all of my Illinois friends.
Love and Kisses,

Making my way to the coast...

Here I am on the road just heading out yesterday towards the coast. My plans changed slightly which is why this morning I'm posting again. I want to keep my friends informed, since I've been so lack in doing so these past few months.

I'll be catching a global freight instead of an ocean liner to Australia. I left Zambia yesterday and walked until nightfall. I'm currently in Zimbabwe but am heading out shortly as I've caught a ride to Harare. Then I'll continue on to Beira, Mozambique where I'll catch the freight. We will be crossing by Indian Ocean and hitting shore on one of Australia's most popular states,Victoria and I'll first be spending some time in it's capital, Melbourne.

I'll post when I get ready to set sail.

I miss all of my Illinois American friends and hope you all have a great 2007!

Victoria Falls

This photo is of me standing in front of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, Africa. It's one of the worlds natural wonders and a site to behold. I loved my time here in Africa, but it's time for me to carry on with my travels. I'm heading to the coast as I've booked passage on a liner and am heading to Australia. Will post again from the dock to let you know when I'm leaving.
All my Love,

Nature Calls

Me with the zebras. Of course I happened upon them during the lunch hour, so they were more interested in eating them posing for pictures.

My "Out of Africa" Experience

I took a few safari tours during my months in Africa. Most notable was the Botswana & Namibia Safari tour in early January. 15 days (14 nights) and communing with nature. The only thing that could have made this experience better for me was if Redford and Streep had been there with me!
We started in Winkhoek, Namibia and then to Botswana. Then we left Botswana and enter Zambia by way of the Kazungula border, a point where the four countries of Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Namibia meet. The tour ended in Livingstone, Zambia.
