This is a sweet chick named Kari whom I met at a small outdoor cafe when I first came to Argentina. We had a long chat and I learned that she's an American girl who loves kittens, puppies and soup. When she grows up she wants to be either a super star singer or a vet.
I've met wonderful people on my travels and she's at the very top of my list.

American Girl Kari
Don't Cry for me, I'm in Argentina!
I made my way out of Brazil along the Atlantic coast until I hit Uruguay and then went inland a bit to get to the capital city of Argentina, Buenos Aires. Stopped in a small cafe to rest when I got into town I met a sweet young American girl. It's nice to run into a fellow countrymen when you're this far from home.
This is me in front of Teatro Colon which is the worlds largest Opera House. It seats 2,500 people. It's even more grand looking on the inside. It takes up an entire block itself. More site seeing tomorrow, but I've got a lot of time, as I've run short of funds and will have to find some work here to raise the money I need for my next destination, which is Africa. Unsure of my transportation, it will depend on the wages I'm paid. So, we'll see where I stand in a month.
More later....

On the Lam Gnome!
No time to post for long, the authorities are on my tail and I'm taking a chance by writing this. They might have my blog bookmarked in hopes to getting intel on my local. An Amigo I met down here thinks he can get me out of the country but I can't give details and the walls have ears (wink wink) Brazil just isn't as it use to be for me. But I still love the ladies and the cocktails and will return again someday. Of course then I'll be traveling under an alias.
More when the coast is clear! The frog smells like a lemon... The cat barks like a jump rope. Damn, I forgot the password I need when my friend calls ...

So Long Rio!
Well, having just developed a slight problem with the authorities here in Rio, I feel safe to say that my departure from Brazil is quite imminent.
This is a picture of me taken sometime during my travels that I just found stored in my digital camera so I thought I'd post it so I can delete it and prepare to start fresh.
I haven't looked at my map so I don't know where I'm heading next. I should know within the next few hours as I'm packing and will post again while enroute to my next destination. Needless to say, what happens in Rio stays in Rio. Unless they catch me of course. But this is the time when my small stature comes in handy.
